xlights export to LOR - pallette changes in LOR
« on: July 25, 2014, 06:39:32 PM »
Newbie to xlights but not LOR.  When exporting a xseq to LOR the palette is changing in LOR.

It displays and controls fine in xlights. simple seq of solid RED - BLUE - GREEN - YELLOW - WHITE

but when exported and opened in LOR it displays and controls as BLUE - RED - GREEN - PURPLE - WHITE

is there an adjustment anywhere that needs to be made? normal channel configs from LOR work fine, normal channel config in xlights work fine, only when exported does it change.

Thanks

OK I do see that when I open the .las in LOR the palette is correct. The change happens when I import my LOR channel config to overlay all the other LOR and DMX channel names over what was imported.

This channel config is correct on any new seq in LOR but seems to remap the palette when loaded over the .las that was exported.  any ideas. Thanks.

Also when I try to re-open the .las that was exported from xlights, in xlights. it crashes. FYI (possible bug for reference)

If I create a new seq in LOR and import channel config (which is correct palette), then open the .las that was exported from xlights (which shows correct palette, but not the channel names I want for LOR) I can select - copy and paste into the new seq and it keeps the palette.

seems like only when importing channel config over the exported .las that was opened make the palette change.

most people who use export to LOR use lcb not las or lms.

if you create a lcb file (LOR Clip Board), you can then paste your sequence anyplace in your current LOR sequences.

i dont know LOR well enough to help with your issue, maybe some LOR users might comment.

Thanks Sean, I have never used that and quickly tried and can see the benefit. Will have to play and learn. 1st attempt of loading a clipboard in LOR and using it let my first pixel string blank and shifted everything down. Will play more tomorrow.

xlights/nutcracker is great, Glad to have discovered it at the Expo.

In your last picture (with the Magenta section), could you expand one or more of the RGB channels before taking the screen shot?
