Crash Report
« on: February 13, 2016, 10:25:50 AM »
I need some help. I hate to bother you all but I can't find the problem. I know I caused it.

I made some changes in the numbering scheme and added some models and took a couple of models out. I only had 1 sequence in the show directory while I was doing all of this and that sequence runs just fine.

Now when I try to open any of the existing sequence of course it is asking me if I want to delete certain things and rename some things and I answer accordingly,  then it crashes.

So here is the crash report

Thanks

Is the audio path good in the sequence xml?  I know with some of our audio manager changes there were a couple bugs if the path was bad.  I think it's been fixed but not sure whether it's been released or not plus you didn't say which version you were using.  I'd try opening up your file and make sure the audio path is correct in the header and then try again.  The crash happened on a LoadAudioData call so that might get you going.

This is a different computer, then the one I used at Christmas, don't know if that matters. But the audio path  part that is showing in xl is correct, it will open the 1 sequence I have been using in 2016.7, sorry I should have mentioned that. I still have the 2015 computer, all my backup is on that if needed.

I have tried a few of the sequences and none of them will open up. I changed models and numbers nothing audio in nature.

I just read your comment about Dans new tricks. I think I should go work on hardware for a couple of weeks.

Not the audio path in xLights.  I wanted you to check and correct if necessary the audio path inside the sequence file.  Which means you gotta open up the xml in Notepad++ or something like that.  If you aren't comfortable with that you may need to wait for a release that fixes it so that it prompts you to select the audio file when we can't find it.

This is your media file path inside your file...is that still a good path?  If not fix it and reopen the file.

That worked.

I can see where you would want this to be automatic. Maybe the lock thing could be to lock it on  the directories we choose and not just the defaulted one. Then after locked on it on it would auto correct the pathway.

Cool now I know 2 things.

1. where the on and off button is
2. where the audio pathway is
