With the new ability to drag and drop models in the layout in 2016.14, I think it would be great if any new models that were created were put on the selected view/model group.  Would allow someone to draw all their similar items and have them in a group together.  Would save a step, which would be nice.  Nothing that is critical, just something I was thinking would make things easier in the future.

You can post an enhancement request on github as well if your idea seems to be taking off.

That change was checked in yesterday so the issue would get closed immediately.
