99% Complete and Adding with Included Layout Sheet
« on: May 30, 2016, 09:07:45 PM »
I have one more prop to decide on which will be top center of my home. It will either be a Boscoyo wreath or the new soon to be released start.

Attached a very simple layout sheet I am using for my two shows. Thanks to David's next firmware release for my Falcon boards the changes will be easy from Halloween to Christmas.

Let me know what you think.

Very well organized, I may have to borrow your spreadsheet layout! :-)

Nice spreadsheet/layout.  Only thing I saw was it looked like maybe you didn't have a picture of your layout on the Halloween tab even though you have different models (like tombstones).

Good Point. Here is a revised sheet with the Halloween layout. On the right side I will be placing a giant spider web and spider with blacklight.

The garage will be opened with black background and cemetery setting. Still contemplating that part.

I have a similar layout sheet but I added was watts and amps of each  model with a running total. helps with power supplies. What I see you have I don't is running length. I will be adding it. I'm hoping that I can mount my Controller in the basement, upstate New York, nasty winters. Hard to check a controller under 3 feet of snow and ice.

On my spreadsheet i have #strings and nodes and number of ch per node. Then a calculated column of total channels for model. Last column calculates starting channel for each model.

Here is my latest Configuration sheet that includes Channels and Amps. Feel free to use.

I can truly appreciate the importance of starting early as a newbie. There are things I am undoing that I thought I would need. For example loading every port on a F16V2-R with pigtails is great if  you plan to use them all. With 4 controllers that's not happening this year with just under 7,000 pixels. Those have been pulled out and will be used to join props together.

I am now placing pixels in my props and testing as I go. For example, I am plugging in all of my props that will use one PSU and ports 1-8. I will conduct tests from the controller and then run shows to see how they handle the power load. My first group will use 25.08 amps so I want to make sure I am not pushing it too hard. You can see from my excel sheet how I have distributed the props. I have room to balance further if needed by moving some to other PSUs. I'll let you know how it goes. This is getting exciting!
