My new Bethlehem Star for my roof peak
« on: June 07, 2016, 04:38:54 PM »
My new star.. I am going to be welding my star this month. It will be between 7-10' high. It will come apart into two pieces to make bringing it up on the roof easier. I will use 1/2" square steel tubing for the main frame and 1/4" rod for the rest. There was one thing i didnt like about the holdman star, you cannot get a cross. This star will allow different patterns in xlights but if I want a cross, i can create one that is going to be pretty nice. I am engineering a base that will attach to the D ring mounted on the roofline I use for my safety harness. It is bolted to the roof joists by long lag bolts. My wife and two sons are going to Prague and Vienna with the Colorado Honor band. While they are gone 9 days, i will be welding. I marked the ratios i am thinking of using on the picture.
