How to layout models directly behind each other
« on: July 03, 2016, 09:58:12 PM »
I am doing well getting my layout and models set up in Xlights/Nutcracker, but I have a question about the layout.

I have 5 large arches in the driveway, and they are front to back. I want to be able to use Xlights to do some cool programming, but I am finding that putting them offset, changes the way the effects wash over them.

If I put them in front of one another, obviously it will not show the effects fully.

How have you gotten around this?

I know in the old animation screen in LOR you would create a mega tree with the front and top view. Of course that was not RGB!

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Paul

Are you trying to sequence them as part of a model group?

You can always draw a second set of "Single Line" models that map to the exact same channels and lay them out like a top view.  Then put them in a group.  You can set the preview to "Unassigned" so they won't show on the default preview.

That is what I was looking for. The unassigned feature!

Thanks for the quick help!
