Syncing audio when sequencing
« on: August 25, 2014, 08:55:06 PM »
When I'm working on a sequence and I want to sequence say at the 1:40 mark, is it possible to do that without listening to the song from the start?  I know I can add an effect to the 1:40 step, but I want to go back 5 seconds and hit play to see how the effect looks at the 1:40 mark. If I stop/start, the audio isn't in sync.

If I stop/play the audio is never in sync with the lights until I start from the beginning.

Thanks,
Steve

i think we have a bug where it wont start exactly right unless you start at the beginning. it will have to wait until next year when matt comes back and can work on xlights again.,

sorry, just out of people to work the list

Here's an add-on feature to that I just discovered.

I had a sequence opened on the Nutcracker tab and was working on it.

I moused over to the Playlist tab and I saw a sequence that I hadn't worked on in a while so I played it from there and stopped it after a few seconds.

Back to the original Nutcracker tab and I it play.  It played the sequence but the song was from the Playlist tab.

Looks like the value of the "current song" gets overwritten and nobody is telling the nutcracker tab about it and the playlist tab is laughing at me.

I know... the answer is "Well don't do that"    I'm not trying to discover these oddities, I just do. This one can go way down on the list.
