strange test results

I have the two test selections sets saved, the first has channels 1 thru 300 selected.  The second has only every 10th red channel selected.
Using a 98 count node string with ETD, active hub and SSC v3 with Falcon 1.011 firmware and 1.011 configuration program.  xlights is 3.4.12
Using the RGB test section and background only

Load the selection for channels 1-300 and move the left background slider all the way up and all nodes come on red.
Load the selection for every 10 red channel and move the left background slider all the way up and about 1/3 of the nodes come on as red with no other colors showing
Move the middle slider all the way up (now have two of three slider all the way up) and I get about 2/3 of the nodes lit in red with no other color showing.
Move the last slider all the way up (now all 3 background sliders are all the way up and I get every 10 node lit in red with no other colors showing.
 
Something is wrong somewhere, but I have no clue.  I even generated a small excel sheet to calculate channel numbers so that I could make sure I had the selection right.  RGB cycle testing works correct with all colors as expected.  What is going wrong here?

I discovered that if I enabled all 3 of the RGB channels for each 10th node that the test worked perfectly, but if I only had a single color enabled on each 10th node that the test failed.  Must be some kind of bug in xlights.  In any case this workaround solved my problem.

ill file it away for a future fix. probably wont happen this season.
