I was thinking...
« on: September 14, 2014, 11:55:40 AM »
I know that fades and other marks that are times are between one row to the next. I was trying to do it across multiple rows and it will not work lets say a fade if I want it between 5 seconds and 9 seconds but I have other beat timing marks in there... it wont work... What if you could merge the cells for one element to allow it to fade?

Sean maybe I am doing something wrong trying to fade but it doesn't work right for me between multiple timing marks.

Normally if you have nothing in a row following an effect, the effect continues until another row with an effect is found for that model.  Not sure how that might change a fade, but you can continue an effect thru multiple timing marks with no problem by just making sure all the following grid entries for that model are blank.  Blank means blank and not the first effect copied to each subsquent row.

Ok here is a video of what I am talking about. Each time the time changes to the next row it will restart the fade. doesn't matter what time I have set it to fade in. Sometimes it wont work at all.

our fade in and fade out is calculated to the next row in the grid. i understand that people would like a fade that goes across multiple rows. it doesnt work like that now. i will put this on the todo list, but not likely it will be worked for this season. in your movie you had multiple rows with no effects on any models, delete those rows and then the fade will calculate to  the next row.

if even one model has an effect and the others dont, you cant get a fade to go across a blank cell. they , currently, only are measured from the timing on the row before or the row after.

sorry

Ok well i guess i will do some different effects then for now. How about the element brightness? IS that coming soon??? I know the slider is there but you stated a month ago or so it still wasn't attached to anything in the code. IS that still the case?
