Lightning effect upside down?
« on: October 21, 2016, 09:28:15 PM »
This is not a big deal, but being close to Halloween I've been playing with the Lightning effect and it seems to be rendering upside down.  i.e. the lightning bolt strikes from the bottom up and if "fork" is enabled, it forks upward instead of downward.  I am running version 2016.50.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional.  With Layer Settings I can rotate so it strikes down.  I do realize in nature lightning does not *always* go from sky to ground but I suspect the intent of this effect is for the lightning bolt to strike down not up.  Just thought I would ask if this is the intended behaviour or it got flipped accidentally in the code somewhere.

My guess is that this was accidentally changed sometime in the last year.  I used this last year and it rendered top to bottom, before we could change the transformation setting under layer settings.
