Trying to test my P10 panels
« on: October 24, 2016, 11:37:30 PM »
Ok gang, got 3 out of 4 P10s working.  I've check everything in FPP and running bridge mode on all BBG's
.
Setup follows. However, to save time on answers. Can you test more than 1 P10 at a time? If so, I'm not able too.

The only one that will work, after network setup, is the first set of universes. The following added universes won't test at all. Either from tester or sequncer. Here is how I'm setting up my network:

Using Unicast ip10.41.219.210(will be changing later, this is just for testing) This my front eave . I use 72 universes, P10 is 6x4.  Save.

I then select my next ip10.41.219.126. I choose starting universe of 73 and select 72 universes again. (Rt Roof)

Finally, select IP 10.41.219.104, startuniverse 145 and select 72 universes again(left roof). end ch. is 512 on all. I then                              save all.

In layout I create my matrix models. Using the appropriate starting address for each one...at least I think I'm correct.

front eave start ch=1
rt roof start ch=36865
lft roof start ch=73729, no conflicts on the models according to the chck tool.

I create a group of my P10 panels. Create a quick animation seq 50ms default.

In seq. I create a test view for panels. I have a timing, then p10 group followed by each indiv. panel.

I save the seq. savs in about 5.7 secs.

When I drag an effect on the group, I can see all panels lit up on the layout view and model view panels.
But, the only one that actually illuminates, is the ip address from the first 72 universes. The other panels stay dark.

What am I missing here?

So close here, got 3 out of 4 working. 4 is dead. hoping it's a bad plug.

Any insight appreciated

Best,
David

Have you tried testing from FPP - Display Testing?  Check the enable test mode and it should light up everything attached to it.  At least you'll be able to determine that all of the P10's work first before you work out the kinks for testing out of xLights.

Thanks
David

If it works, Ill explain later, dont want to keep folks in suspense.
