We finished marching band by performing at the feeder festival. This is where the 5,6 graders and the 7,8th graders get to perform at the high school. The Highlands Ranch HS band also gets to perform. We encourage the kids to stay on their musical journey and hopefully get the 8th graders to join us next year. We brought the props inside the basketball court and performed our show. The band was unable to march so they stood in place as the 8 minute show ran. You can see the props in the background. The props are on a 4'x8' frame that is elevated 5' in the air. each of the 6 props has 24x47 ws2811 square nodes or 1128 nodes per prop. The stairs are 12' high with 9 steps. each step has a 10"x6' frame with 4 rows of ws2811 lights 4x36 nodes. 1296 nodes on stairs. Total lights 8064. The stairs had the master pi, each of the 6 props has a remote pi. all 7 are rpi3's. a 45AH marine deep charge battery is on each prop. Used an ubiquity Ubiquiti PicoStationM2HP - Wireless Access Point - AirMax - 802.11 B/G/N access point. Got way more than 300' coverage.
