12 to 16 string pixel tree

Hi,
I have several 12 string pixel tree sequences in .sup format and now have a 16 string tree will xlights convert them from 12 to 16 or will it just leave the other 4 strings blank?

Some effects will scale.  But if you had a morph shooting up a single strand it's not going to expand to multiple strands.
