Does anyone model their North pole globes?
« on: January 05, 2017, 10:01:48 PM »
I am thinking through how to layout my North poles.   Some good folks at the FB page told me where I could find Sean's North pole custom model; I was then able to drop that custom model into my layout no problem.   I was wondering if anyone breaks out the North poles' globes into specific models so you can sequence the globes separately from the North poles' striped sections?   I modeled my Boscoyo mini trees' stars separately from the minitrees last year.  I didn't use it much, but being able to separately sequence the minitrees' stars was handy the few times I used it.   I was thinking it might be good to treat the globe sections of the North poles similarly to the minitree stars...    Thanks!!

I don't have poles but I would storage them into different models then group together. Just like the trees, more programming options.

You can now do sub models of such elements. After you model the complete north pole then separate the pole into one sub model and the globe into the other. If you have more than one such pole you can now group the sub models together for sequencing all the balls for example.

It hasn't been added to the manual yet. But Keith has done a vid about them.
