Re: Xlights Matrix Model using 2 strings of different lengths

I think I messed up on the build or need model setup help.
I prefer not to make modifications in the Controller (F16v2) if I don't have to.

I made a matrix
Matrix: 37 Pixels across and 28 Rows
Strand #1: 592 Pixels (37 Pixels *16 Rows)
Strand #2: 444 Pixels (37 Pixels *12 Rows)

Strand 1
Row 1: 1-37
Row 2: 74-38
Row 3: 75-111
Row 4: 148-112
...
Row 16: 592-556

Strand 2
Row 1: 1-37       (or Row 17: 593-629 out of 1036)
Row 2: 74-38     (or Row 18: 666-630 out of 1036)
Row 3: 75-111   (or Row 19: 667-703 out of 1036)
Row 4: 148-112 (or Row 20: 740-704 out of 1036)
...
Row 12: 444-408 (or Row 28: 1036-1000 out of 1036)

I am not sure how to set it up ...
Can someone help? either in xlights (preferred or F16v2)

xLights doesn't need to know anything about how many strings you are using to build the matrix.  Just enter it as if it was one long string.  Horizontal matrix, 1 string, 1036 nodes per string, 28 strands per string.

When I do that I get the following
Strand 1
Row 1: 1-37
Row 2: 38-74
Row 3: 75-111
Row 4: 112-148
...
Row 28: 1000-1036

Show a screenshot of the node layout.  Those settings will do a zig-zag so I don't believe that's what you are getting.

You didn't tell the F16v2 to do a zig-zag also did you?

Here's the screenshot of how I asked you to set it up.

Was gonna start a thread asking about this same problem, found the answer right here. When i played the sequence on my matrix, i have nodes going in tow different directions.
