"3D-ish" request
« on: February 15, 2017, 03:38:35 PM »
No clue if this is possible so go easy.
I am laying down about 45-50 of the 24" Boscoyo snowflakes onto my roof (I gots me a big roof I do). One portion of the roof extends and I know the question has been asked a million times here on how to draw a strand of lights coming towards the viewer. However, for me, I want to program maybe 5-6 snowflakes on that portion of the roof that is extended towards you. I know that I can skew the models to reflect the viewer angle but I thought of another possibility.
Obviously, this is not a 3D program but what if you could add a 'plane' function? Have the ability to create a virtual plane in a quadrilateral form that you can place models on and create groups for. All models on that virtual plane would be linked and scaled to that virtual plane that you would then be able to scale down to the size of the plane on the picture.
Or you could start from your small plane on your picture is drawn freehand and scale that up to the virtual plane.

Might be a good idea, might be the dumbest thing on the planet, just wanted to see if it were possible.

Now I'm feeling inadequate for only adding 36 to the front of my house!

<sorry, nothing useful to add>
