nested groups? Groups inside groups?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to organize my layout.  I sequence 5 houses on my cul-de-sac and like to group things. My inclination was to create top level groups with sub groups, avoiding circular references of course.  When I did this, everything looked correct in the preview but I do not have my display set up to check.  I selected 'tools' - 'check sequence' and I get the following, "Model Groups containing other model groups or non existent models
    ERR: Model group 'My_Yard' contains another model group 'Candy_Canes'. Nested model groups are not supported at this time."

Everything appears correct in the preview though.  What are the ramifications of nesting groups?

Nesting groups is in 56 but it is not yet quite ready for prime time. 2017.1 will be much more solid from that perspective.

Hopefully you meant 2017.1  I keep writing 2016 as well. Darn, why does it take so long to switch years.  LOL

I'm trying not to get behind this year.  My goal is to sequence two songs per month to end up with about 9 or 10 for each, Halloween and Christmas.  Trying to avoid the stress that I had last year.  I want to start fresh and avoid converting my old stuff but I guess if I get into a bind I have that option.  I don't guess that 2017.1 release is imminent?  If not, no big deal, I think I can proceed without nesting.
