xLights, Malwarebytes, and ransomware
« on: March 11, 2017, 07:07:50 AM »
When I install the current beta version of xLights (2017.6), Malwarebytes detects and quarantines Ransomware.

xLights still runs ok. I am just wondering if anyone else has seen this. Could be an issue with Malwarebytes too.

I have the full, paid version of Malwarebytes and don't get that. Which version are you running?

Try this site: https://www.virustotal.com

It will scan the file with 40 different anti virus programs to verify if it's a false positive. It looks to me like your anti-virus is flagging temporary files during installation.
