P10 Waterproofing - Anyone have some good pictures?

Thinking about diving in to the P10 world... but I haven't been able to find any good waterproof enclosures yet. (Well, besides the real ones that are $350 for a 2'x2' panel). Anyone have any good pictures of some?

Also, has anyone made any large P10 screens before? like 4'x12' or larger? Problems?

Sweet.... Love the stand...  loos like 6" PVC pipe. Yes? Are your globes lit?

I went "low tech" and literally wrapped three P10 panels in vinyl. Wrapped them just like a Christmas present, using black duct tape instead of scotch tape. It's the stuff they sell by the yard at Wal-Mart for covering chairs or couches.

Two of them are tall - 3 wide, 6 tall (18 panels)
One is smaller, horizontal - 3 wide by 3 tall (9 panels)

Still to be built for 2017 - matching panels with 20 each.
I'll probably seal them up differently since they are going to look like Window Frames (though I'll probably still use the vinyl).

4 inch PVC with a telescoping bottom so I can level it on uneven ground.
And of course the Globes are lit that was a silly question .

Ebuechner - do you have any pictures of the back of the panels? And are the power supplies mounted inside or are the power runs external? Those enclosures look very slick!

The power supplies are internal.
Both my small and large panel are just under 3 inches thick with power supplies.
I use a 1 x 4 Cedar board with a routered channel for the panels to sit in with the Boscoyo mounting system then I ripped the wood down to two and a half inches. Then I wrap the bottom with a piece of white fascia then install my plexiglass and my back then wrap the sides with the same fascia then the top. Kind of like the shingles on your house everything's designed for the water to run over the seams not into.
I figured I'm good so long as gravity doesn't reverse and rain starts going the opposite direction.

Very smart and I really appreciate you taking the time to show this! It is very helpful! I will definitely have to modify it a little bit I think with some extra bracing if I do some large 12' panels but the waterproofing part is what I couldn't wrap my head around so I really appreciate it the extra pictures!

Globes lit LOL yes a dumb question on my part.   I would have said 6" pvc with 12" globes. But it 4" with 8" globes. I'm guessing a total of 42" tall you have.  Not planning on any snow?   Saying all of this with the red bucket 14" tall and the tape measure about 3" in the pix.

    Add the red stripes, light the globes green, I can see it now

I used clear vinyl as well. Works very well.

My enclosure is made of 1 1/8 x 3 1/3 wood stock. it was painted quite well. I put in 2 groves to hold the panels and out bound plexi. the back is plowed out for the rear cover. The panels are held together with an aluminum extrusion from work. Looks like a hat made for making storm windows. the outside plexi will be sealed (caulked) bottom and sides only. top is removable to slide the panels out.

18 inches to the bottom of the sign 48 inches to the top of the globe.
Here in Wisconsin I figure I'm only going to get snow half way to the bottom of the sign.
I have red duct tape to make the stripes after Halloween.
I have eight rectangle pixels wrapped around a pipe in each globe.

Each one of the poles can telescope up at the base to level it on uneven ground or raise the sign overall if needed.

Ok All I need.  Off to Blowes I go.  Here for snow by X-mas anywhere from 0 to 36" Ill do about 26" under just over 60" tall. Need to make them and build a sleigh for the kids to sit for picture taking.  Time is running out.
