Finding models when mapping
« on: July 24, 2017, 07:52:59 PM »
I have mapped one of Lilia's sequences (one from spring 2017 post-Vegas....) and I see the whole house model when I have her configuration opened up in the sequencer, but when I map channels into my setup I am no longer seeing the whole house model as one I can drag & drop.   Is there a step I am missing?   I am using Keith's instructions, which work really really well...   Thanks.

You need to ensure it is in your view that you are importing into ... generally ensure you are using the master view. If a model is missing go to sequence elements and add it in.

Thanks very much Keith.  Ok I checked, and I was in master view in my setup.   I do have a whole house model setup there ("all") and I see it in the listing of models to which I can drag & drop models from the donor sequence.  I set the donor sequence into master view then rendered/saved it in case that might make a difference.  I also made a new "WHM" group with all elements, rendered, saved the donor sequence, to see if that would help.   Not seeing either of the whole house models in the drop down.   All the other models seem to be available in the drop down.

The list on the right will only show models that are actually used in the sequence you are importing. If lilia has a whole house model but never uses it in that song then it won't be there to map as mapping it won't do anything.

Thanks again, Keith.  I didn't realize that.  Makes sense.   Sure enough, this sequence didn't use the WHM....
