Fan "Width" value boxes broken for numeric KB input
« on: July 31, 2017, 05:42:14 PM »
On the Fan effect, Blades tab, there are two adjustments for Width.  Setting values with sliders works fine.  When I type numbers into the value box, the result is often not what I entered.

Set an arbitrary value with the Width slider (I used 45), highlight the value in the box, type in a new number (67).
Highlight that number and enter another (33).  The resulting number is 35.  Highlight, repeat.  Sometimes the value entered will be correct three or four times.  Often it fails on the next entry.

Both Width boxes exhibit the same phenomenon.  Using the numeric keys or the 10-key pad makes no difference. The slider does correlate to the number in the box even if it's not the one that was keyed in.

Not a show stopper but aggravating.

Yeah the problem is there is some kind of validation running when you type and the minimum value for those boxes is 5.  So when you try to type a 3 it converts it to a 5.  I'll have to see if there is any way to override the validator.

By the way an easy way to set those parameters is just drag the slider close and then use the arrow keys to dial in the number you want.
