xml and Fseq files are saving as larger files then normal

I have saved several new sequences and the files are larger then normal and when saved the xml files are around 240 k and the fseq files are around 2-3 GB.  Any ideas what is happening?

FSEQ file size should be close to (# of channels in setup) * (frames per second) * (sequence length in seconds)

For example one sequence is 4mins, 20fps number of channels in setup is 2500.The xml file 210 KB and fseq file is3.63 GB. The sequence is for four singing faces, so not a large sequence?

I’ve had this happen ocassionally before too.

I deleted the fseq, and opened the xml file (as normal), render/save/etc.  This regenerates a new fseq file.

The other thing to keep in mind, the number of channels is the MAX of what is defined on the setup page and what is the highest channel used by a model.   I've seen cases where users set a model start channel to 99999 to move it out of the way.   Well, there you go, you now have 100K channels in your sequence and the fseq files are huge.

Do a Tools -> Package Sequence if you want us to tell you what's wrong.

Or run check sequence and check for errors there such as large blocks of unused channels.
