my pixel tree

So i started testing my pixel tree 12 strands of 50 nodes and i have a question that might be an easy fix.

Running through each song i notice that the lights flicker with the beat of the music. I mean it does everything its supposed to do but at the same time it isnt a smooth transition between effects and it seems like they flicker to the beat of the music as well. Can anybody explain to me why?

You do not specify the effect your asking about, but some effects have the setting "lights respond to music"

If its not a setting you have selected on an effect then i would be wondering if you either have power injection problems or are you sending the sequence twice to the controller.
