Channel Block Model

Can someone explain the purpose of the channel block model and possibly give a use case?  Just noticed it and was wondering what it was used for.  Thanks!

It just visualises a bunch of channels. Mainly designed for ac lights where you don't care to visualise the models but want to see the channels turn on and off.
