Hey all...
I used to be able to generate random effects on a couple of layers simultaneously but I'm having trouble on the newer versions of XL doing so.
I used to be able to click in 1 cell (using 50ms timing) and hold the mouse button and drag down and pick up the second layer....hit generate random effects and XL would place effects within that 50ms cell....
Now, when I click on a single 'cell' (or between 2 of the 50ms vertical lines) I get a big (1 second long) block that highlights.... I can no longer hold the mouse button and drag down and pick up the 2nd layer. I also cannot get the random effects to work any longer.
And anytime I place an effect now it seems defaulted to creating it for 1 second whereas I used to be able to create the effect for 1 of the 50ms 'cells'.....
I'm on the 2017.34 beta version and I first noticed this happening on 2017.33. I'm sure I've missed a change to how this works. Can someone give me a short explanation of how to generate random effects now?
UPDATE:
Okay.....after checking further it appears I have a problem with a new folder (with new layouts)I created when I added my AC strings/elements. When I create a sequence using this folder and it's models the above problem occurs when I try random effects. BUT if I create the sequence using my old layout folder and copy the new sequence into the new layout folder and open it...it works.
Okay...think I found it.... I had created a couple of different models with the new layout folder. When I initially created the sequence I did so without adding any models....electing to go back and add after creating the sequence. When I include all models when I create the sequence then all works well.....
