Meteor effect doing strange tyhings.
« on: October 27, 2017, 03:27:10 AM »
OK riddle me this, when I use the meteor effect on a p10 panel, I get that really cool dripping blood effect I want.

If I create a new animated seq.....same thing, it looks like the normal meteor effect.   Now when I apply this same effect to my wholehouse model using the same settings , including the P10s; when it is played out to lights it looks blocky, the drips are about 5 pixels across instead of 1.  When I apply the same effect on my P10 by itself, I get the cool dripping blood effect again.

I have looked at all my layering setups, shows normal and default.  I just don't understand why it's doing this on the wholehouse, but looks fine on the individual model.

I can live with it if no one has any ideas, but I would like to accomplish the dripping blood effect using the meteors.

Thanks.
David

It all has to do with resolution. You can up your group resolution if you want but rendering will slow.

Keith for clarification, by upping resolution  are you referring to my layout page and the minimal grid stuff?

What setting to I want to utilize on that page.  I tried minimal grid and all the way up to 1200, still had the blocky meteors.  Not exactly what I need to do to effect change.  Any further insight appreciated.

Also, I have 3 diff. wholehouse groups, some without specific models.  Do I need to change those as well?

Do I change them to the same as the "Wholehouse" group?

Thanks
David

Without having your layout to play with I don't know.

Hey Keith managed to achieve the effect by using render style Overlay-Scaled. It's not starting from the very top of the house, but it looks so much better now...I can live with it.  No more blockiness.

If you want to take a looksee, I can package it for you.  Not necessary at this time. It least it's not doing weird crap anymore.

Best,
David

All good. I have plenty of other things to look at.
