xSchedule requests
« on: December 04, 2017, 03:37:24 PM »
Hey guys!  Two requests for xSchedule, but first some background....

I have one schedule running 24/7, that randomly plays from a list of audio files. (This is the music when my show isn't running.)
Then I have my actual show scheduled within a specific time, and set to a higher priority than the music schedule.

#1 - When the time comes for my show to start, it starts immediately at the specified time and cuts off the music in progress. Can there be an option to make this transition more graceful? In other words, to allow the playing song/sequence to finish before starting the next schedule?

#2 - At the same time, in addition to cutting off the music abruptly, there is also a short period before the cut-off where the music will start to play very slowly. Like playing a 45 at 33 speed (if any of you are old enough to know what that means). I don't know if this is a bug, something I have set, or...

Thanks!  -Ray

#1. Not any time soon. #2 relates to issues with your audio sampling rates mismatching. Either turn off preloaded audio or resample your audio to the same speed.

This is for Ray,

I'm using a mini desktop computer where I have Xlights with Xscheduler also I have an application called ZaraRadio.

I use ZaraRadio for my audio files during the non-display time.

ZaraRadio has his own scheduler where I can set up different format of holiday music and other audio files when I scheduled this before the display starts with Xscheduler, with ZaraRadio & my ending time  will fade out the audio.

This is just only an idea for you
