show flickering
« on: November 26, 2017, 07:45:36 AM »
I am running 2811 strips with the Falcon V3 controller.

I noticed that my whole display is flickering while it is running.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in Advance

I asked the same question the other day with no response.  by any chance do you know what voltage each of your power supplies are putting out?  How big is your show?  What fixed mine was I adjusted the power up then set them as low as possible. My mega tree 3600 nodes is set to 10.80 volts with everything else at the low 11 volt mark as that as low the power supplies would go. One thing  I notice was the thicker the wire  lower wire gauge I ran the more I have this problem.  My big tree I'm running 14 gauge wire at 35 feet. everything else is 16 to 18 at a shorter run but my spinner, also on 14 gauge and had flickering

There are several reasons for flickering. If it is the whole display it is probably because you have two programs sending data to the lights at once. Maybe XLights and the scheduler or XLights and fpp or XLights and lor etc.

Hey Keithsw1111

I do have both xlights software and the scheduler opened.  So you are saying is I only should have the scheduler running, correct?

It's ok to have both open. It's not ok to have both sending out data.
