xSchedule - Fast Start Audio - Usage??
« on: December 15, 2017, 03:34:13 PM »
OK, since there really isn't an xSchedule manual...
What does the Fast Start Audio option do, and what is it's proper usage?
I have read some posts here suggesting it be unchecked to resolve issues.
But are there circumstances where is must be checked?
Thanks!

It preloads the audio which makes song transitions faster ... but if you have songs with different audio sample rates you can run into issues with songs playing fast or slow. In those cases not check it.

OK, so how much faster is the transitioning?
I'm not convinced that audio sampling rates are the only issue that it has.
But I don't want to turn it off if there is going to be a significant lag between sequences either.

It depends on song length and disk speed. You could always try it. And I am not here to convince you of anything ... the code is open source. Please feel free to find the real bug and issue a pull request.
