Xlights Crashed
« on: January 12, 2018, 07:21:55 PM »
I just completed my first sequence creating all my models, importing my LOR sequence and re-sequencing all the models that didn't import over. I have it set to save every three minutes plus I save every time I finish sequencing an area. I closed out of Xlights and took a break. When I went to reopen the sequence a box popped up the header read "Sequence Element Mismatch" and the house preview show only the mega tree.

What have I done!!!

The two screen shots show the finished house and what comes up now.

Help Please

So it didn’t crash but you lost your models. I would go back through your backups and look for a version that has the models and restore it.

Not sure how to do that. I'll give it a try.

Well I gave it a try!! I'm not a computer guy so most of this is over my head. Is there a video that covers restoring models? I searched the video library and nothing came up.

Maybe I'll just start all over, I could use more of the learning curve again.  ::)

So I found my model layout but when I open the sequence I was working on the only thing that loads is the timings. All the models and sequencing are gone.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You may need to find a backup of that as well. It would seem at some point you did something very odd but without knowing what that was it is hard to point to the solution. Back to the backup folders to find a sequence file that has all your effects in it.

Well I obviously don't know how to use zoom. I'll try and find a video to watch and get back. Thanks
