need help
« on: September 10, 2018, 07:22:51 AM »
ok I am converting over to xlights from LOR was able to convert my sequences ok every thing went great.  The only issue that I have is I have a script that runs when I start my show and again at the end of the show.  What is does is turns on my FM transmitter and also my tune to sign (it's an AC sign that I have a dumb RGB controller hooked to a solid state relay. (didn't want to use up a AC channel on my controller)  What I did in LOR is create a animation sequence with the 3 channels that the controller is attached and turned on each one.  (the FM transmitter has a 2 second pulse turns it on and off) what I can't figure out is how to do this in xlights.  It's most likely easy but I can't figure it out or maybe I am not thinking correctly in what I wan't to do.  Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Mark

OK so do I make a playlist in xlights and then add it as a background playlist?

No you don't do anything in xLights you use xScheduler so find some videos for that program.  And I don't see why you would want a background playlist why not make it just the first item in a playlist to run that script?

Ok but wouldn't it run it each time the show repeats? This would re run the sequence that would then turn off my transmitter until the show repeats again and then turn the transmitter on.  See my issue is that the transmitter in order to turn it on you have to press and hold the on button and then the same thing to shut it off.  Sorry for all the questions new to xlights.
