Trees Appear Tilted Forward
« on: October 08, 2018, 11:50:53 AM »
We have more than our share of Mega Trees.  While trying to run bars from the bottom to the top, it was noticed that each tree's outer strings lagged behind the ones in the middle.

A screen capture of the tree, with the lagging strings pointed out by red arrows is attached.

I've tried to find any kind of adjustment that would level each of the trees, but have come up empty.

Anyone have any idea as to what is causing this?

TIA
Al

I'm not in front of my PC but isn't there a Perspective parameter that tilts the tree?  Without it the tree doesn't have a 3D look in 2D.

Also seems like this would only happen if you are using a "Per Preview" render buffer.

Thanks for the ideas as to what to look for.  I've been looking for some sort of tilt, or skew, or something.
I'll look at the buffers as well.

I still haven't found any setting to straighten the trees, but...

Under the heading of render buffers, I have found quite a few things.

Those that don't work:
Default, Per Preview, Per Model Per Preview

Those that do work:
Horizontal Stack, Vertical Stack, Horizontal Per Model/Strand, Overlay - Centered, Overlay - Scaled, Per Model Default

The others do other things that don't allow for bars or morph to present lines.
Note - Morph only draws the line at the start.  After that is more of a nice face in of each new color.

You need to post a screenshot of the Tree model parameters.

Not quite sure which you are asking for.
I've gone through the complete menu and haven't found anything that remotely sounds like "tree model parameters".

C'mon Al you know where you change all the settings for a model.  It's the Perspective parameter just like I said this morning.

What, you expect me to be awake in the morning?   ???

Thanks.  I found it, changed it to zero, and it is working as expected - this afternoon.  :P
