XP Computer -- did i miss something
« on: November 26, 2014, 08:17:40 AM »
I have Xlights running on an XP computer -- anytime i go to save a project, i get an error - that xlights has stopped working.  The error indicates one of the wxmsw dll's -- Will xlights no longer work on windows xp?  is there a place i can update that dll?

i no longer have an xp machine to test xlights on.

you can try going back to 3.4.xx versions (before we had opengl)

3.5.xx we introduced opengl graphics
3.6.xx we introduced whole house models.

Opengl may have an issue on your hardware. If that is true then you will need to stay on one of the older versions.
We have limited resouces of programmers to develop free software. We are now working on xlights 4.x . This is a complete redesign of the front end UI. I dont think any of us have XP (I used to last year but that laptop crashed its hard drive).

sorry
