Help Adding RGB pixels to 2019 show
« on: February 25, 2019, 11:02:20 AM »
Hi everyone,

I'm new here so forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place. I run a charity holiday drive Thru light display in South Florida and we are looking at adding a pixel display to our show. In the past we have used LOR 120v controllers for a 24ft mega tree and arches. I would like to replace the section with the attached image which was rendered in Xlights. I am getting comfortable with the software but am struggling with what to order I. E how many controllers, pixels (how many and voltage) , etc. I am leaning towards Falcon controllers but I need to figure how much of everything I will need to make this drawing become reality. I would really appreciate suggestions on controller set up. How many pixels I should use for each item (trees, Starburst, arches) so that this will be a nice looking display from about 50-75 ft away. I am listing approximate measurements below and would appreciate any opinions and feedback from those who are experienced with this.

Will most likely use boscoyo stars, strips and arches
(1)Large 180 degree Mega tree 20-24 ft tall with boscoyo star
(2) 180 degree pixel trees 10-13 ft tall
(2) 10' Starburst with star
(2) 13' Starburst with star
(6-8) boscoyo 3 ring arches

Thanks in advance for any help. Sorry for being such a newb at this but rather than just winging it I figured I would see what the experts have to say.

Thanks,
Jason
