I cannot make it happen again, but I was working on a new prop. I was checking the vertical sides of the polyline to make sure they light properly in a bars effect (vertical bars) , all at once. I was going back and allowing it to play and repeating. That is when it crashed. The effect worked as I wanted so I did not try as much. But xlights has just shut off without a crash file being formed. I had to restart it from the desktop screen. I don't know if this helps but its a shot. Thanks Charlie J.
