As one who has recently left all the DIYC Facebook groups, I can say that it turns out that being there is not necessary. Not being on there does, however, prevent the 1% of real/good information that does get put up there from being presented to those of us who are not there. (I may agree to 2%, but the rest is a waste of time - IMHO.)
Monitoring the Zoom meetings has been the best source of information, so far, when not depending on Facebook.
Second would be the websites of the different programs.
