Individual Start Channels for Red, Green, and Blue
« on: October 02, 2019, 09:39:56 PM »
I am trying to find a way to have individual start channels for the red, green, and blue colors of 3 Channel RGB strands (controlled via a DMX controller such that there is a channel for each individual color).  Only seems to have allow individual start channels for each strand.  Ex: Red is DMX channel 10, Green 14, Blue 16

Is this currently possible?  If not anyway this could be added as a new software feature?

This is sort of an extension of this GitHub enhancement request thread:
https://github.com/smeighan/xLights/issues/1737

Thanks!
Shawn

Its already possible with the software.  You might not like how you have to accomplish it but you are the first person I've ever heard of setting it up that way.  A normal question would be why can't you change your controller setup so that those colors are contiguous?  Call it an enhancement to your controller setup.  If you want to do it in xLights you gotta make 3 copies of the model, change them to single color string types and then set one for red, one for green, and one for blue.  Then maybe put them in a group and drop the effects on the group.
