Connecting 2 models
« on: September 26, 2019, 10:15:45 AM »
I am sure this has been asked and I have been reading.  New to all pixels.  I have 2 mini trees, each 50 pixels.  10 tall by 5.  I am connecting them by 5 foot extension cable.  They will run from 1 channel as 100 nodes.  How do I connect them in the layout so they run on one channel?  There is no drawing for an extension cord. It may help to know I am running them from a LOR Pixcon16.  This will also help as I am planning on 2 channels of 4 mini trees 5 tall by 5 wide running as 100 nodes each for the sidewalk on a F48.

If 2 models are on the same channel just type in the same start channel for both of them.

Last year I had a mega tree and this year  is all pixel.  Being new, a lot of the questions I ask may not be clear and understanding answers difficult.  The above answer is a good answer but, I did not understand how to make it happen.  For those in the future looking at this post for an answer I found the below video to be very helpful.  There are other videos also which you can search and find on xlights at http://videos.xlights.org/.
For those new this will be a go to for answers to a lot of your questions.  Also can learn a lot about things you had not thought to ask by scrolling the videos.
Good luck and enjoy.  It is an expensive hobby but most hobbies are and this gives you a reward of happiness for yourself and most importantly others.
