It is the same on both of the primary sequencers.
xLights puts out the changes directly to the people. (How many last year?)
Vixen may only put out "official releases" once each year with bug fixes to follow shortly there after, but there are many "development releases" as the year goes along. Almost as many as xLight releases.
In both of them, it is nice to see responses (and usually quick responses) fixing problems and upgrading the software. It is sometimes a pain in the backside to keep up, but the xLights method of updating is pretty quick and easy.
