New Preview Window Question

I am getting to many models on my main view & wanted to make new smaller models. That is where the problem starts. When I made a new preview for a tree I have in my front yard I set the background as tree & saved. When I added a new model to the preview ALL my models jumped into the picture. None of them are in the tree model group. What did I do wrong & how do I correct it? The only model that should be on this preview is the snowflake in the top left corner.

Can't tell from that screenshot.  You don't even show the part where it shows us what preview you have selected.  Models will show up in a preview if they are assigned to that preview, assigned to All Previews, or they are a member of any group assigned to that preview.

Thanks Gil I did not understand that models could not be in Default & All Previews. I cleaned it up added a new preview for just the front yard & all is good. Again Thanks Mike
