model listed below whole house
« on: February 14, 2020, 04:34:10 PM »
If you have a whole house effect, and the whole house group is at the top of the row list in the sequencer, and then you add an effect to a model below the whole house group, shouldn't the effect on the lower model overwrite the whole house effect when it is rendered and when it plays so you only get the effect that is placed on the model and not the effect on the whole house on that model?

This is what I did and it looks right in XLights but when it plays from FPP it doesn't do this.  The whole house model is covering the other model effects below it.

Thanks.

It depends.  As long as you have "Master View" selected and the model you are talking about is listed lower on the screen than the whole house group then yes.  And by lower the fact that its below it in the list when you expand the group doesn't count.  Easiest way to see the order is do Edit Display Elements and see if the group is above he model.  Anyways if its correct in xLights then FPP cannot change the data so if you see differences you have incorrect channel assignments in the hardware vs xLights or you hadn't done a render all.

Thanks that was the problem, I had the wrong controller assigned to the model.
