Gen CCRs and LOR Macros
« on: June 22, 2020, 04:11:10 PM »
I'm converting to Xlights and I just want to know if I can migrate the LOR CCR Macros into Xlights -- and how --- and if not -- suggestions on how to get the older CCRs to work.  Do I just communicate as DMX -- or should I talk to them in LOR protocol.

If you are planning on using xschedule you can use lor advanced. I didn?t think the ccrs work with dmx.

Either way you are in for a bumpy ride. Lor pixel hardware other than the pixcon really only works well with lor software.

I ran LOR CCRs in xLights for at least 3 years.  There are multiple ways to run them but xLights will not support the macro channels.  So you can either skip over those 7 channels or use hardware manager to configure the CCRs for DMX and they will become 150 channel devices.  Which protocol to use is really up to what hardware you plan to use to run them.  You can only use LOR protocol if you have them connected to a LOR USB dongle or LOR output on a Falcon.  Otherwise you need a controller/device that outputs DMX to run them.
