Hi everyone,
just wondering where you find the moving spot lights I have seen in some shows, and a good place to start if using them in xlights?
thanks

Anywhere online.  Go to a local Guitar Center.  Amazon.  You can get a wide variety or wattages so for less than $150 you can get one that won't be very bright or you can spend several thousand per head.  I kinda liked these on Amazon "Lixada 7R Sharpy 230W RGBW Moving Head Stage Effect Light 16 Channel DMX512 Rotating Moving Head Beam Pattern Zoom Stage" but never pulled the trigger on buying them.  You get 4 of them for $1459 and 230W is fairly bright.  Then you gotta buy or build a housing to protect from rain or bring them inside every night.  Tom BetGeorge at magicallightshows.com used to sell high quality moving heads/enclosures but I don't see them listed on his site anymore.  To program them in xLights your going to need to be more than a beginner with the program.  I've made videos showing how to get one running but I don't keep a list of my video links some are on the xlights.org website and some on my youtube channel.

There was a seller on facebook (in some of the xlights vendors pages) - Daniel Zhang - doing some good deals on 230W or 350W lights, had covers and flight cases as options.

As for setting up DMX Fixtures in xLights there was a couple of lectures during the virtual summit last weekend, videos are now available on their youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnaWNawzcUpkKlUxsDUGNwQ/videos  I haven't seen them as yet but asume they'll help. :)
