Xschelduler....need help
« on: September 14, 2020, 01:59:20 PM »
I have a question and hopefully I'm not wasting anyone's time. I'm totally green to this whole pixel lighting world. I've done a ton of research the past year and now finally ready to dive in.  I've.bought controller from Holiday Coro and Mega tree package. Everything is loaded and working(not without issues) lol but I've managed to figure it out myself. My question is I cannot find Xscheduler anywhere on Xlights or a standalone app. Am I missing something? All I want to do is test my sequence for 24hrs to make sure everything is working. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you Dave

When you install xLights you should get 2 links....one for xLights and another for xScheduler.  Its a standalone exe.

Thank you very much.. I've downloaded it on a MacBook Air and can't seem to find the download file.  I'm thinking of deleting everything and just starting from scratch. I missed something when downloading the file..🤷🏻‍♂️

xSchedule is not available for the Mac.  Your best bet is to get a Raspberry Pi and install FPP and use that to run the show.  It's the best way to run a show and would not tie up the Mac at all allowing it to be usable while the show is running.

If you HAVE to run it on the Mac,  xSchedule can run in a Parallels or Fusion VM fairly well.   Either Linux or Windows.
