New version of Xlights messed up my matrix??
« on: December 09, 2020, 02:06:27 PM »
Does anyone know if there was a change to the matrix element in Xlights? I have been struggling with my three window matix all month. The starting location is bottom right where the string starts. There are two strings in the matrix both bottom right. I have set individual start channels. I noticed the text was flipped horizontaly on top and bottom sections. When I did a test in Xlights, rather than starting with the botton right pixel it is starting in the top left, doesn't matter where I put the starting location. To do a fix I had to reverse the individual start channels for each row and type my text backwards so it will display correctly. Last night I noticed my 4th matrix on the roof is doing the same thing. These were all working for Halloween before I upgraded to the latest Xlights 2020.54 version.

Does not help this time, but in the future try to start all your matrices on bottom left.  A matrix and a tree are basically the same, just shaped differently and trees alway start at the bottom left which seems to be a bias built into the program.  I have no problem with that but I find using bottom left for everything possible seems to give me the fewest problems.
