I am just getting started with xLights and I keep running in to this as I incrementally add to the sequence and test it.  I get in a mode where don't have items light up when I press play.  I have to click in each effect and then everything works.  I do something else and end up in the same boat.

I am using 3 pixels defined as a circle to light up bottles from underneath in a bar shelf. I thought playing with that would give me some experience before trying a Christmas display.  The attachment has a screen shot for context.

The House Preview behaves EXACTLY as the physical LEDs, so it does not seem to be HW or controller related.

I have to be doing something stupid.  Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Doug

you need to click on the render icon, the palette picture with the rgb dots.

Thanks.  I knew I had to be missing something.  I will give that a try next time I see that condition.

Also make sure you do NOT have the suspend render check box on (very bottom lower left)
