I have setup xlights on a Pi to run on a boat for July 4th.  I have it all running, but when the 'tour' is over I need to stop the sequence without being able to shut it down. Will it corrupt or is there a way to use iphone or some other way to gracefully shut it down?

While corruption of the pis due to shutting off the power used to be common it is much less common these days. I would still hold a backup sd card but you likely won?t need it.

Hi Keith,

Sorry, it took me awhile to respond...I have to leave my hobby for 'other 'responsibilities', but I'm back for awhile now.  I have to tell you that I am honored to 'speak' to you!  I've watched LOTS of your videos and it REALLY helps me and gets me back on the 'best practice' track.

Anyway, I will be careful about powering off a Pi, just to be safe.

Thanks so much for ALL YOR HELP!!  I am going to donate for using your amazing software, your very informative videos and all that you do for everyone.  It won't be much because I'm retired, but it's spmething!
