First strand for export
« on: January 01, 2015, 08:39:21 PM »
Chose ripple effect, object to draw as square.  When I exported I noticed the effects were rotated 90 degrees.  I would have expected the first strand for export option to fix this, however, no matter what this is set at I get the same orientation.  Model is tree 360.

That's exactly what the First Strand To Export thing is for.   I added that since HLS expects the first strand to be at the 9:00 position.  For me, I have a 22 strand megatree so I set my first strand to export to 6.   That seemed to work for me.   Can you describe your setup (or include you rgb_networks and a sample sequence)?

My setup, I currently have about 96 channels AC, and a 600 pixel tree, all LOR.  I use superstar and visualizer.  The first string on the pixel tree is 9 o'clock.  I'm looking at alternatives for this year.  I created some effects in xlights/nutcracker for testing.  I use the export function to LOR.  I then just copy and paste from this file to my working file.  I then play in my visualizer.  The effect I mentioned in the original post is oriented at the 3 o'clock position.  I'm trying to rotate 90 degress clockwise.  I changed the first string setting to 3,6,9, no changes were noticed.
