Selecting Multiple Timing Tracks
« on: December 15, 2023, 12:07:53 AM »
I'm probably just missing something simple somewhere, but I can't select multiple timing tracks on my own sequences.  Selecting the radio button for a timing track always deselects the previously selected track.  I know it can be done because it works as documented in the manual when I load the XATW example sequences.  I've checked my preferences and sequence settings but I can't find anything that seems to relate to this feature.

It's not a big deal, just a small quirk in my configuration that I find annoying.  It would be nice to understand what is different in my sequences.

Thanks in advance
John

Its been years since I worked on that code but it may change behavior depending on whether you are in the Master View or a custom view.  Look at the drop-down on the sequence panel top left.  Also why do you need to select multiple timing tracks because that might visually show multiple selected but only the top one matters when it comes to dropping effects and selecting cells so it would be a visual only thing.  It was actually considered a bug that you could select multiple timing tracks but some users thought it was cool so I left it working that way.

Thanks, that was it!  I typically work in Master View, so that's why it wasn't working for me.

Usually I don't select more than one timing track but I was just working on the timing tracks for a new sequence and wanted to align the track for some of the background vocals with one of the other tracks.  I thought it might be easy just to select both tracks to see how closely they were aligned.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
