Horizontal Matrix Setup Question
« on: February 13, 2015, 11:07:41 AM »
I want to make a RGB Sign that 46 wide x 22 tall pixels.  I have a spare PixLite 16.  My first thought was obviously, 22 strings of 46 pixels, but the PixLite 16 has only 16 outputs.  So, would this be the right way to do it.  Select "Horiz Matrix",  set "Actual # of strings" to 11, "# of RGB nodes per string" to 46, and "# of strands per string" to 2??  That would mean on the physical sign, the first two rows from the top would be string 1 strands 1 & 2, then string 2 strands 1 & 2, etc??  Trying to correlate the software to the hardware.  One more question,  with the top
left corner being the starting corner, strand 1 of string 1 would go from left to right,  would strand 2 of string one also go from left to right????

Two ways to do that.

1.  Use the Pixlight to do the folding.
2.  Use NC to do the folding.

You're close, but you would need to set nodes per string 92, strands per string 2.
Everything else seems right.   The best part is, you can test that RIGHT NOW with NC in the preview.
As long as you plug it in the same way that you've defined, it will work.

Do not ask to know all the answers, but ask to understand the question.
